NURTURE GREAT THOUGHTS

Nurture great thoughts for you will never go higher than your thoughts.

Merry Christmas
Today P:-) and I are going up the coast for a couple of days. While I write this I am racing around getting things ready. But one of the things I noticed this morning as I was sorting out my clothes was the carpet of purple Jacaranda flowers down on the old cubby house.

The photo above is looking down into my back yard from my backroom, not far from where I sit at my computer. I think it is such a beautiful yard, but I know a lot of people prefer the manicured look.
I have packed my clothes. I am rather fond of my tapestry 'set' of light travel luggage.

I don't think the photo quite does the bags justice. The one on the left is very handy and made by my mother a few years ago. The zippered bag on the right is one I found in very nice clean condition in an Op Shop. I feel quite swish when I go camping with these bags.

 The food is ready.

The groceries will be packed in a wooden box that P:-) will bring. It doubles as a coffee table that we eat from outside. The cold things are still in the fridge and they will go in an esky.

I have a list written out so I don't forget anything as they will be a last minute addition.

Margarine
Salad in a bag
Sausages
Cheese
Potatoes.

The potatoes are actually baking in the oven.

We will have these tomorrow night with some low fat sausages and salad.

Tonight we will have toasted sandwiches. That is the great thing about having electricity. We have a toasted sandwich maker and it is such an easy meal on the first night.

I think back to my old camping days of babies and nappies and tents. No table or chairs. No electricity. I don't think I could do it now.

Well I only have a few bits and pieces to go. P:-) shouldn't be here before 12 (and not much later than 1 pm I hope in order to avoid the heavy city peak hour traffic.) It is 11 am now.The weather has cleared up.

I have left my shower until the last minute because I am not sure what the shower situation will be - it can vary at Davistown, depending on who is there.

So I shall talk to you when I get back.
