William Blake, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell
The last few days have been a countdown to our holiday to Merry Beach.
On Friday I bought a new sewing machine! It is very exciting.
I had been going to buy one for a while as my other one had died but I was finally forced into it. I had to do a little repair work on the canvas of our caravan.
It does 135 stitches! And has a computerised memory!
P:-) has been making some repairs and waterproofing the canvas. He has had ropes and tarpaulins tied to the caravan to keep the rain off as the waterproofing dried.
Saturday morning early was grocery shopping. I make a fairly detailed list of what we will be eating.
I spent Saturday afternoon figuring out how to use my new sewing machine, and stitching up some rip-stop canvas to attach to the canvas on our van.
On Sunday we went to the christening of P:-)'s great niece, Lilly. She is a cute little thing with a head full of black hair. She cried through the whole thing. I took some photos but my iPhone doesn't seem to be sending photos to my email. So I can't show you.
Monday was spent repairing the caravan and getting it mended. I have really sore fingers from sewing rip stop nylon and canvas. But it worked really well. There had been a big hole in the canvas of our pop up van and we made a pretty good job fixing it.
So today we are off. I won't be posting for a few days. It is 6:30 am. We plan to leave at 10 and I have lots of packing to do.
See you in a few days.
