GALLERY 9 AND BIBLE READINGS FOR THE HOME CIRCLE

It has been a fairly quiet week.

My elder daughter J is an artist and yesterday we took her up to Sydney to stay for 4 days while she sets up an exhibition she is putting on at Gallery 9 in Darlinghurst, Sydney. The exhibition is entitled "Shelf Lives". I imagine it will be similar to the work she did for her last exhibition at Wollongong Art Gallery which is shown below. The Gallery bought her work at the end of the show.

J does a mixture of sculpture and felting. I plan to see the exhibition on Thursday so should have some photos then.

My father-in-law, my ex-husband's father, passed away on Saturday at the age of 88 and I have been asked by the family to do the eulogy. I have only seen him on and off  in the past 7 years since my divorce but I saw a lot of him in the 30 years I was married to his son. I was pleased to be asked to speak at his funeral service, and I am pleased I can do it for the family.  I don't mind speaking in public. I did the eulogy for my mother-in-law back in 1996.

I have put another item for sale on Ebay.  It is a book entitled Bible Readings for the Home Circle, published 1915.

It has black and white illustrations.

I bought it at the Salvation Army for $2 - just because it was an old book. So it will be interesting to see if I can sell it. It will take a couple more days. I have 2 watchers. Even though the starting price is only $5 it is quite exciting.
